Q: Why does Fedex charges a Disbursement Fee?

To expedite customs clearance, FedEx pays the tariffs due to US customs on consignee's behalf. FedEx the bills this amount to either the shipper or the consignee.

Q: How do I pay for the tariff dues?

During order is placement, our system will prompt you select your preferred tariff payment method

Option 1) FedEx will contact the consignee with payment instructions
Option 2) Have the amount billed to consignee's FedEx account
Option 3) Have the charges billed to our FedEx account - we will send you a bill to be reimbursed

Q: Is there any advantages to having tariffs to a FedEx account instead of COD?

There should be no perceivable clearance delay when billed to either vendor's or customers's FedEx account. For COD billing, FedEX may contact you for further action - this adds delay.

Hint : Anyone can open FedEx account through Fedex.com with just a Credit Card. Having a 9 digit FedEx account will smoothen the tariff billings.

Q: How I get your system to bill tariffs to my FedEx account by default ?

Look for "Profile & Preferences" after logging in to your Silver Circuits account. You can then your 9 digit FedEx account number for Duty & Tax billings in that pop-up page.
